AUTHOR CHECKLISTS

Production officially begins when the Production Department of Prentice Hall Business Publishing receives the final version of your manuscript as described on the manuscript delivery pages.

Shortly after receipt of the final manuscript, you will receive communication from your Production Editor outlining in detail the final process and overall schedule. As your textbook moves through the production process, this information will be communicated and updated regularly.

Your Production Editor will be your main contact from this point on, ensuring that all parties – your Acquisitions Editor, our Marketing Department, our Design team, our Prepress and Manufacturing teams, etc. – are all kept well informed about your project.

Below are two author checklists of important materials and events to consider and be aware of before and during the production process. The Pre-Production Checklist will help you make sure that you have all of your material ready for manuscript submission. The Production Checklist will help you keep track of your manuscript's progression as well as your responsibilities within the production process.

The checklists are saved as PDF files, which can be read by Adobe's Acrobat Reader. If you don't have Adobe's Acrobat Reader, you can download it (the basic Reader) for free from Acrobat.com.

It is suggested that you keep a printout of these checklists for your files.
